Victoria Cafe & Restaurant Ruislip
Tucked away in the heart of Ruislip, Victoria Cafe & Restaurant Ruislip at 65 Victoria Rd is one of those places that locals hold close and visitors happily stumble upon. It's the kind of spot that blends the charm of a traditional English cafe with the laid-back vibe of a neighbourhood hangout. Whether you’re popping in for a strong cappuccino or sitting down for a full English breakfast, this place does casual dining right-without any fuss.
Let’s talk breakfast, because it’s what Victoria Cafe & Restaurant Ruislip is known for. Their English Breakfast is the real deal-generous portions of sausage, bacon, eggs, beans, and toast, all cooked with that home-style attention you rarely get outside your own kitchen. Add a steaming mug of tea or a rich mocha to the mix, and you've got the perfect start to your morning. Their omelettes are another winner-fluffy, loaded with fillings, and served hot and fast.
Now, if you’re the kind who likes to keep things light or eat on the go, their paninis and quick bites hit the mark. One of the most surprisingly satisfying choices? The cheese and bacon burger-crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, served with no pretension. It’s not gourmet, but it’s got that comforting, guilty-pleasure appeal you crave on a casual lunch break.
What really elevates the experience here, though, is the drinks menu. From fresh strawberry smoothies to frothy cappuccinos, they’ve nailed the beverage game. The coffee selection is especially worth noting-whether you're after a bold espresso or a mellow latte, the quality is consistent, and the baristas clearly know what they’re doing. Even their tea selection feels curated, offering everything from classic English brews to more herbal, calming blends.
There’s also the added bonus of alcohol for those winding down their day with a chilled beer or a glass of wine over dinner. You’ll find this option makes the place a good choice not just for breakfast or lunch but also for relaxed evening meals with friends or solo visits after work.
The layout of Victoria Cafe & Restaurant Ruislip feels intentionally welcoming-there’s outdoor seating for sunny afternoons, and the wheelchair-accessible entrance, car park, and seating ensure it’s inclusive for everyone. Whether you’re a freelancer needing a spot to set up your laptop (yes, this is a great place to work over a coffee) or a solo diner looking for a quiet bite, it caters effortlessly to both.
And no, this isn’t some trendy chain with generic decor. It’s got that lived-in, familiar look-wooden tables, natural light, and a kind of no-frills comfort that’s hard to manufacture. The friendly staff only add to the welcoming vibe, often remembering regulars by name and always happy to tailor your order if you have specific preferences.
What also sets Victoria Cafe & Restaurant Ruislip apart is how it manages to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner equally well. Not many cafes can claim to be genuinely popular across all three meals, but this one pulls it off, thanks to a diverse menu that moves seamlessly from hearty breakfast plates to lunch specials and evening comfort food.
If you’re ever in Ruislip and looking for a spot that combines quality, value, and a laid-back atmosphere, it’s worth checking out. Victoria Cafe & Restaurant Ruislip may not shout for attention, but its quiet confidence, great service, and consistently satisfying food speak volumes.

Absolutely loved the breakfast at the Victoria Cafe. You can taste that they use good quality items. The staff are soo friendly and attentive from the minute you walk in. The waitress was more than happy to let us change items on the breakfast as much as we wanted. The tables were clean and the seating was comfortable. To top it all off they even have Encona chilli sauce on the table. We had a great experience and we'll definitely be going back.
Came here for a mid cycle pit stop with a couple of friends. Super fast service and the portion size was immense for the ‘Big Breakfast’ great value for money and super friendly staff. Will be stopping by again if we pass by this way again on the road. Highly recommend for sure! Thanks!
Used to go here a lot as a kid and was not left disappointed. Genuinely one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, nice and clean, incredible food thats fresh and tastes great. A day later I'm considering going back for another burger! So good. Will definitely be back.
The four blokes that work there could be friendlier, as a few other reviewers have noticed. That said, the food came out rapid fast, and the portions are massive and cheap. Also, and I'm not exaggerating, some of the best espresso I've had in London. Will come here again.
This is a nice little cafe that serves good, hearty food. The portions are big, and the staff is friendly. I used to go there a lot, especially when I was pregnant. I went there 2 to 4 times a week just to have a jacket potato. It's usually pretty busy, but there's always a comfortable seat available. You can easily spend a few extra hours chatting with your friends. It's a clean, quiet place where anyone can enjoy the food. The staff does a great job of keeping the standards high.
